Two Girls, Two Carrots

Jillian and I hit the town yesterday for a less than traditional Girl’s Night Out. A friend of Jillian’s owns a company called Ohhh Canada, and they were hosting a Workshop that we had signed up for. It was one of those kinds of workshops, the kind where you do some unmentionable things to unsuspecting produce. It was a riot.

We followed the directions to a downtown Condo building where the session was being held and found a gaggle of females of all shapes, sizes and ages lingering around. Once we were whisked inside and registered, Jillian and I perused some of the products on display before settling into some comfortable couches in the back row.

A nervous Customer Service representative from the hosting company did a quick little greeting, and then we were introduced to Dr. Jess O’Reilly, Sexologist. Yes, that’s apparently actually a thing and she really is a Doctor – not that this particular workshop really required any variety of medical degree. Dr. Jess probably weighs 80 pounds soaking wet – and at least half of that weight needs to be held up by a bra. In her industry, looking the way she does is probably her biggest asset.

For the next two hours Jess entertained us with lessons and stories about clients and other professionals, while never hesitating to point, gesture or demonstrate with a giant purple toy that she called ‘my own personal nightmare’ – it was comically large. Throughout the workshop, the attendees also were encouraged to practice the various techniques on the pre-carved carrots that she handed out. Needless to say, the room held a constant haze of giggles. One group of coworkers from the health industry could hardly keep themselves together.

Jillian and I, like the good students we are, tried out pretty much everything Dr. Jess was teaching – to the point that our carrots were rather, umm, flaccid by the end. Although, holding a carrot in a warm room for two hours would probably cause that anyway!

As the event came to a close, we unceremoniously dumped our carrots back in the bin, collected our free samples and headed off into the night with a few new tricks in our back pockets. It’s not every Tuesday you get to watch a real life Barbie doll violate an innocent Carrot 🙂

  1. ….. some techniques were hard to do without someone else holding your carrot. Thanks Nancy!

Glad you learned a few things and enjoyed a few laughs!

But I’m 120 pounds — without my padded bra:)
